ABOUT ME

I am a Cincinnati based, digital illustrator and comics writer. I focus on sequential art and comics because it combines both my passions of storytelling and illustrating to create moving and immersive stories. I hope to continue in my pursuit of creating meaningful and inspiring experiences and helping others pursue their goals in the arts.

Fantasy tropes primarily inspire my characters. I enjoy the movement and flowingness of fae creatures, but I also try to experiment with other facets of mystical beings by adding more animalistic features.
Overall, I want my characters to be approachable and easy on the eyes. I work more on human characters because they are the most relatable and more fascinating to me.
Comic work
My Webcomic, A Flame in the Knight, focuses on themes of betrayal, complicated relationships, corruption of governments, struggling with disabilities, and found family friendships. These topics seem very heavy, but I feel like for a world to be fully fleshed out and real, it needs real everyday struggles. My main characters, Oliver, Ember, and Eli go through all this and more, and can be found on Webtoon CANVAS!

Cirrus gets swept away by an expecting aircraft pilot and begins her new adventure!
This comic was created for a school project during a comic-making class. The project itself was supposed to be a semester-long, but the real challenge was that we had to shorten the story to only seven pages. I had a great time story plotting and laying out the panels to create a seamless color shift throughout each page, starting with that dark blue and transitioning into that bright, warm pink. The comic itself has not been continued, but if you would like a printed copy, please feel free to reach out!

Colorist
I had the great pleasure of working and studying under the creator of Freestyle Komics, Michael Watson! His work primarily consisted of diverse superhero characters based in the Columbus OH area. His use of diversity in not only race, but the range of abilities that each of his characters have is inspiring and is truly impactful in the comics community. I was a colorist for his drawings and worked on adding eye-catching color and blinding dazzle to his pages.

Illustration work
My designs range in a variety of needs. But my main style consists of the usage of mystical, fantastical imagery. Some would describe my designs to be borderline psychedelic and I would agree due to my preferred use of curved lines and my love for cursive, art nouveau style fonts. Ultimately though, I call myself more of an Illustrator rather than a designer due to my lack of experience in the medium. However, I hope to continue to strengthen my design skills to further improve my other assets!
